The excuses of cost/time/experience no longer apply when talking about using video in your marketing campaign. With the mobile phone you carry around in your pocket you can create wonders that can and will drive new traffic to you business. But the reality is, you NEED to do it. Your competition is doing it, the brands you know and love are doing it, your dry cleaner, plumber and even your local is using video to attract new customers. 

Hubspot Research found 54% of consumers want to see videos from brands they support in comparison to email newsletters (46%) or social image (41%) based content. They also found that video content was the most memorable (43%) in comparison to text (18%) and images (36%).

Now most people may be thinking, 'no one wants to see video about my business unless something amazing happens'. FALSE! Establishing a relationship with a brand via video is a fantastic way to establish trust between you and your customers. It is more comfortable to buy from a small business if they know who you are. 

You don't even need fancy software to edit your videos. Most smart phones have hundreds of apps for video editing. And most of DON'T worry. If you stumble, or shake a bit, aren't an Oscar winner the first time out, just like everything else it takes practice. And those customers who are along for the journey can watch as your skills grow. 

So prepare for your close up, get on your over-sized hockey jersey (Kevin Smith reference), get your creative juices flowing and get filming.
