Blogging Drives Traffic to Your Website

Increasing the number of visitors to your website is critical to your online success. One of the reasons you should not give up on blogging is because of this. It’s a certain way to develop your company because it builds trust, attracts more email subscribers, and makes it easier for others to locate you online. Also, at the end of a blog post, include action phrases or questions to stimulate involvement. It will, in the end, create leads.

Helps With SEO

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the engine that drives your online presence, and every business wants to be on the first page of Google search results. So, if you want to increase the number of prospective visitors to your website, blogs are the way to go. Adding a blog to your website entails creating original content with useful information. It will produce more leads, which will improve your search engine results and make it easier for you to be seen. This is another of the numerous benefits of blogging for your business

Blogging Builds Credibility

A good website demonstrates to your audience and clients that you are a reliable source. Provide audiences with fascinating and useful content, and they will see that you are more than a company selling goods and services. And that you are concerned about disseminating useful information in your company. Blogging continuously shows potential consumers and competition that your organisation is a reliable source that keeps up with industry changes and advances.

Get More Social Exposure

Blogging is one of the simplest ways to be noticed on social media. You’ll have more content to share on social media as a result. Blogging contributes to the creation of relevant and unique material for all of your social media channels, resulting in increased traffic to your website. It also assists in exposing your firm to audiences you may not be aware of.

Blogging can Drive Inbound Links to Your Website

In order for a website to appear in search engine results, it must receive incoming links from relevant and reliable sources. It aids site navigation by directing visitors to the most relevant pages on your website. The more relevant links you have, the higher your chances of ranking, which means more leads and possible clients.

Something that is often thrown out there is that email marketing is no longer a viable marketing tool. This post will be focusing on why email is still ALIVE! Below I have mentioned 4 points I believe are the main indicators that email marketing is still dominant.

Statistics Suggest that Email is Still No 1
No matter what people say about email, the statistics speak for themselves. All statistics show that email marketing is actually on the rise.

For example according to ‘Custora’, email marketing was the primary means in driving Black Friday sales accounting for just over 25% of all sales. Whereas paid search resulted in just 16.3% of sales. As reported by ‘Mailgen’ 54% of marketers feel that email is still the most effective type of marketing to work with and the easiest. In addition they reported that 89% of marketers said that email marketing was their main lead generation strategy.

Customers Want to Stay Updated (Through email)
Believe it or not, customers like to stay updated on what you have to offer. Whether that be a new product or service, discounts/coupons or even courses that you may provide.

Considering you already have a good email following this should be a good way to update your list as these people will already have a vested interested in what you have to offer (unless you generated irrelevant leads in the first place).

Email Marketing Compliments other Marketing Strategies
This point ties in with the last point but is more about linking email marketing with your other marketing strategies. Think of email marketing as a hub that generates traction for all other marketing methods such as social media.

For example you might alert your list about a webinar you are holding or an article you posted on your blog. In the case of the blog post, emailing your subscribers will give you that initial boost of qualified traffic. The best thing with that, is it’s completely free.

People Choose Email for Business Communications
According to MarketingSherpa, 72% of consumers say that email is their favourite form of communication with businesses. Furthermore, 61% prefer to receive promotional emails weekly and 28% want them more regularly.
It is believed that 81% of online shoppers are more likely to make extra purchases online or in store based on emails about previous shopping behaviours. This was reported by Harris Interactive.
As a result of email marketing, 66% of consumers have made a purchase online rather than in store. 19% of consumers have said that every email newsletter they receive is to see what’s on offer. That is why consumers delete fewer promotion emails without looking.

If its not Dead where is it Heading
It is predicted that by 2017 1.779 million people will be able to access email on their mobile device.

30% of consumers read their emails on mobile devices. Depending on your target audience, product/service and email type, mobile email will account for up to 70%. This was reported by The Radicati Group.

Writing an email can seem a basic task, but the receiver will appreciate the quality of a professionally written one vs an informal message. You are also likely to have a positive response from the recipient and paint a good picture of who you are. Continue to read to find out ways you can write effective electronic mail!

1. Format your response so that it’s easy to read on a screen.

Do not write emails using very long sentences, which are lengthy horizontally. Each line must be short. Ideally, write 5-6 words in each line only and not more than that.

2. Make sure the subject line is concise and meaningful to the recipient

Avoid a generic “Response from Marketing Team” but also be careful that it doesn’t look like spam.

3. Have one subject per paragraph.

Mention this separately by blank lines, so that it’s easy to read and understand.

4. Be brief.

Use as few words as possible to convey your message. More is not better when it comes to email. An email is not perceived as an electronic letter.

5. Use simple, declarative sentences.

Write for a third or fourth-grade audience, particularly if you’re creating templates that are sent automatically. You do not know the education level of your sender or the sender’s level of comfort with the English language.

6. Be sensitive to the tone of the original email.

If the sender is upset because of an error on your part, acknowledge the error. Clearly state what you are doing to correct the situation.

7. Make sure you answer all the questions posed in the original inquiry.

A partial answer frustrates the sender and results in additional contacts. It also makes the company sending the response look inept.

8. Call of action

Make it clear what actions you will be taking next and when the writer can expect the next contact from you.

9. Don’t ask for an order number/case number or any old information

This is something you remember out of your mind only when one is included in the original email…sounds pretty basic, but sometimes people miss very obvious info in an email.

10. Don’t just tell the sender to go to your website.

In many cases, they have already been to the website and couldn’t find the answers they were looking for. If you want them to go

back to the website, provide a direct link to the exact information the reader needs.

Not getting the level of traffic from Google Adwords that you expected? Here’s some practical help to improve your Adwords click through rate (CTR) so you can start to generate qualified traffic from search engines to your landing pages. Organise Your Adwords Campaigns Per Impression, Per Lead, Per Acquisition.

One key factor in improving your Adwords click through rate is differentiating between the different purposes of search campaigns. There are three reasons why you would invest in PPC:

Brand awareness

Lead generation

Customer acquisition

Once you understand your business goals and decide on a campaign, your ads, keywords, message and call to action should be built around one single purpose, to maximise your Adwords click through rate and quality score.

Adwords gives you three marketing options to choose from and it’s up to you to decide which is best for your campaign…

Cost per thousand impressions (CPM) – good if you’re running a blog with external advertising

Cost per lead (CPL) – if your sales process starts on your website but cannot be completed there, e.g. bespoke solutions

Cost per acquisition (CPA) – someone clicks on your ad, visits your website and signs up for a newsletter or places an order

Choosing whether to use CPM, CPL or CPA largely depends on the nature of your business, but it also depends on the specifics campaign you run in Google Adwords.

Here are 3 examples of how a business can choose different campaign options in Google Adwords:

Your business installs bespoke kitchens, and sells a range of kitchen appliances. You run a campaign to increase brand awareness and opt for the CPM structure with broad keywords. You’ll want to keep the daily spend relatively low.

At the same time, you’re marketing a new range of products with the option to complete the purchase on your website, and you will use the per acquisition (CPA) model. Your keywords should be specifically targeted to people already looking to buy. You’ll want to spend a bit more here.

For your bespoke kitchen installation service, where your customers can specify their requirements on your website but the actual sale takes place in their home, you will use the per lead (CPL) structure. Again, target people looking to buy and set your daily spend accordingly.

Ideally you would run a mix of these, to keep developing your brand awareness for long term sales, and marketing your current line for immediate results.

Adapt To Your Audience

Even if your ads are on the first page, that doesn’t necessarily mean you will also get results. The most important aspect of your ad campaign is your message, which needs to be concise and engaging.

Write them from the view point of potential customers: what would encourage your target market to click your ad, rather than your competitors’?

In order to get your message across and improve Adwords click through rate, you will have to spend considerable time re-wording and re-working your messages. Ads that go straight to the punch get more clicks, but you need to be specific, too. Regularly review all your ads and keep improving on your messages in order to enhance your Adwords click through rate.

AdWords Quality Score

Your click through rate affects your Adwords Quality Score. If you have a maximum bid of £1,50 and an AQS of 10 (the score can be between 1 and 10), and your competitor bids £4,00 but has a score of 6, your ad will be shown even though you’re paying less than your competitor.

Improving your ads and Adwords click through rate not only generates more business, it also has the potential of reducing your search marketing costs over time.

Three Tips To Improve Your Adwords Click Through Rate

1.Keep your ads per adgroup to the bare minimum Because ads in the same adgroup compete against each other, your time is best spent creating two or three great ads that speak to your audience. Analyse which ads are performing well and why, and build on their success.

2. Consider your call to action Offer a solution to a problem instead of simply promoting your product or service. ‘Save 20% on your weekend trip to Paris‘ is far more effective than ‘Click here for Paris weekend breaks‘.

3. Continuously review your campaigns Although time consuming, success in Adwords click through rates largely depends on continuous analysis of keyword performance, adgroup performance, and applying your insights to your campaigns. Search trends change constantly, and your competitors work hard to improve on their results, too.

Are you generating good success with your Adwords click through rate?

Are your clicks translating into business profit?

Many small businesses don’t get the success they want from advertising due to availability of very little resources. The results are simply flat due to lack of good ideas for improvements. Whether the ads are put in the local newspaper or are printed in the famous periodical or posted on a website, the money invested should gain the desired outcome. There are some common mistakes small businesses and professional service providers do when designing and posting the advertisement, which leads to the failure of the advertisement.

Bigger is better is believed by many.

That’s exactly what some of the small firms think when they want to advertise their product. They think bigger and select a medium where they need to invest a lot of money, but do not reach the targeted market. Like if a company specializes in designing diet plans and want to help out people who had disappointing results from their individual diet plans, and the company chooses to advertise a full page in the local paper instead of running advertisement in a health magazine, obviously not many of the dieters will notice the advertisement and the advertisement doesn’t get the desired attention.

So the point is to come up with the best campaign, which will increase the probability of the ad getting viewed and the right customers trying to buy the product or sign up for the service. Studies and research can be carried out on the market and targeted audience can be narrowed down. Once getting the list of newspapers, magazines and magazines meant for the customers in mind, find out how many readers they have and the cost they ask for posting the ad. Special deals are offered by them from time to time and can only be found by watchful eye.

It is estimated that everyday people are subjected to around three thousand commercials.

That is a huge number and if someone desires to be noticed, he should certainly be different. Not only the services and product sold should be unique in the market, so should be the advertisement. For example, if a business selling mattresses says, “We sell mattresses”, it will not make a statement and will be passed off as any other mattress advertisement. But if they say, “Our mattresses are of the finest quality”, it will make the advertisement stand out in the crowd. Other catch lines are “Are you suffering from back pain? Probably you must try our mattresses “, are more specific and will catch the fancy of the people who are suffering from back pains since a long time. The advertisement should also focus on the uniqueness of the product and how it is better compared to the competitors’ product.

Focusing on the problems of the customers and giving a solution for them, is what a customer demands.

A customer does not buy a product; he buys benefits in the form of a product. The real value of the product should be realised and a clear picture of it should be presented to the customer so he will be able to relate with the product. If the advertisement doesn’t specify the solution it can provide, the customers will never know of it. So focusing on the customers problem is what some ads miss.

Most of the advertisement is motivation for the customers.

If the advertiser has designed the advertisement and the customer had read the advertisement, all efforts and money invested will be wasted if he doesn’t get up and do something about it. It shouldn’t be assumed that the customer knows what to do; instead the advertisement should influence the mind of the customer and should tell him what to do. Call of action is the final job of the advertisement. It should call for information, or visiting the store or even visiting the online store. The message should sound confident and clear.

If you run an online store selling products, such as tools, jewelry, makeup, gifts, clothing, or any other products, you make more money when you sell more products. Since the objective of any business is to make money, online store owners know that the more products they sell, the more money they can make. “How can I sell more of my products online?” is one of the most common questions I hear from my clients is. Here are several tips that will help you sell more of your products online and generate more revenue:

Show off the products in the best possible light.

When people buy a product, they want to know what the product looks like. If someone is buying a couch, they want to be able to see if that couch would fit with the rest of their furniture before actually buying it. If someone wants to buy a piece of jewelry, they want to see what the jewelry looks like before buying it.

Therefore, the best way for you to convince your web site visitors that your products are right for them is by showing the products in the best possible light. Have high quality, detailed pictures of your products on your web site so that people are convinced that they need your product as soon as they see it.

Make your web site easy to use.

If someone comes to your web site to purchase your products, make sure they can find exactly what you are looking for. Your web site should have clear and concise navigation that is exactly the same on every page of the web site.

An easy to use navigation ensures that your web site visitors find what they are looking for on your web site and purchase it.

Optimize web site for search engines.

Another good way to drive more customers to your web site and increase your online sales is by optimizing your web site for search engines. Search engine optimization is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Meta-information includes certain HTML tags (title, heading, emphasized text, keyword and description meta-tags), as well as the internal (links between pages on the same site) and external (links between pages on different sites) link structure of a web site.

Optimizing your web site helps you improve your search engine rankings and drive more targeted traffic to your web site.

Create a blog to promote your business.

A blog is your business diary, in which you share the information about your business, your new products, different ways of using your products and much more. Your blog is an excellent tool to let the world know about your business and your products, to connect with potential customers and promote what you have to offer.

In order to bring the most online traffic and make money with your blog, make sure that your blog consistently and create blog posts that are of interest to your past as well as potential customers. Regular posts that are interesting to read is what will keep your readers coming back and buying from you. The Internet is a great place to sell your products. When you know how to market your business online, you bring more web site traffic, get more product sales and make more money.

If you’re looking for ways to increase your online sales or just your sales in general, this article will give you 11 tips you can start implementing straight away to see a real difference in your sales.

Ease of Use

If you are getting targeted traffic to your site that is great news. But if your customers/clients are coming to your site and are not converting then your site may not have good navigation. Make sure your website is easy to use. If your site is tedious and cumbersome to navigate around then you are losing potential clients. Just by concentrating on this alone you should see an increase in your online sales.

Build Trust and Sell More

This is a very simple tip but not many companies practice it. You have to gain your customers trust before you attempt to sell to them. I will give you a real world example so you can put this concept into perspective. Would you rather buy a mobile phone from a random guy in the street or a trusted mobile phone store like Carphone Warehouse. I’m guessing you will go with the latter. Even if the ‘random guy’ is selling at a much lower cost than Carphone Warehouse, most people will still buy from the trusted retailer. The key thing here is that you should focus on building trust before anything else. Once you build trust people will just start throwing money at you.

Don’t Fear Transparency

This point ties in with trust. If you are transparent with customers they will start to trust you and they will see you as a brand that they can trust. How do I make my business transparent I hear you ask! Be upfront about your offers. Don’t leave major details in the small print. That is a major put off. There’s nothing worse than being lured in by a “Free Next Day Delivery” offer only to find out later on that you have to spend at least £300! Don’t get me wrong its fine to have that offer but just make sure you make the condition extremely clear to your customers. That is called being transparent! Do this and slowly but surely your online sales will start to increase.

Think about your target market

Sometimes we tend to drift away from the real purpose of what our business is all about. What is that? To provide a product or service that your target market will love. The keyword there is ‘target market’. Don’t lose focus on what your target market wants. Remember that peoples preferences and tastes change overtime, so you constantly have to do research on what your target market really want.

Build a Sales Funnel

If you don’t have a sales funnel in place your probably not getting the results you want. Having a proper sales funnel will allow you to focus on each aspect of your sales process. A good sales funnel will include a very targeted lead generating fragment. This will be at the very top of your funnel. If you get this bit of your funnel right the rest of it will be great.

The next bit of your funnel is to prospect your leads. Filter out all the timewasters and gather all the leads that you think have a high chance of buying from you. The last part of the funnel is to actually try and sell to these prospects. This is where you offer them a product or service they might want to purchase.

Develop an SEO Marketing Strategy

No matter how much you dread SEO, there is no escaping it. It is a must for any business. It is a long term strategy that will pay dividends when done well. Implementing a good SEO strategy will get you a steady stream of sales overtime. You won’t have to do any paid marketing for those sales!

Optimise for all Platforms

You need to make your website accessible to everyone. When I say accessible to everyone I mean it needs to be optimised for any device. That includes, desktop, mobile, tablets and all the other types of devices there are. The main point here is that whenever anyone searches for your site they shouldn’t have any trouble viewing it. This will increase the amount of people viewing your site which will in turn increase your sales.

Start Upselling

Offer your customers the chance to upgrade. Don’t just assume that they will seek out upgrades on their own accord. If you don’t ask you won’t get. Ever heard of the saying ‘ask and you shall receive’? Well in this case it couldn’t be more true. The best time to try and sell to someone is when they have just bought from you or are about to buy from you. That is the perfect time to offer them an upgrade.

Start Cross-selling

This is very similar to upselling but instead of offering upgrades, cross-selling requires that you provide more options to your customers. These are alternative options which may not necessarily be more expensive but just increases the chance of a sale as the customer will now have more choice.

Concentrate on bestselling products and market those products

Don’t waste your time focusing on products or services that aren’t making you much money. If you know a certain product is your bestselling, then you should focus most of your efforts on marketing that. The aim is to fine tune your marketing so that in the long run you are increasing your sales.

Optimise CTA’s

As a business your marketing should include a lot of CTA’s (Call To Action’s). If you don’t know what that is, it is an instruction you give to a prospect telling them to do something. For example ‘Click here’, ‘Buy Now’, ‘Check It Out Here’ and ‘Call Now’. You should always be testing new ones so you know which one gets more engagement. Don’t just stick to the same CTA even if you think it is working fine for you. Chances are that there is a CTA out there that is much better than the one you are using right now!

Looking to improve your Adwords campaign to increase business profits?

Here are 3 steps to improve your Adwords campaign to drive quality traffic to your website, generate more leads and convert more visitors into buying customers.

1. Target The Right People

Getting your advert out there is great for brand awareness, but you want to generate new business, too. So target people who are already looking to buy with ‘action’ search phrases. Examples include:

Buy

Order

Register

Custom made

Bespoke

Save

Pay less

Reduce

Make sure these action search phrases are in your ads, too.

You need to understand where and when to target your ads. If you run a local business and only serve a close radius, restrict your ads to local search only. You can also use campaign scheduling to show your ads only at times when when your potential customers are online searching for your product or service.

2. Constantly Improve Your Ads And Keywords

Your competitors are working just as hard on their campaigns are you are, so just because your ads are performing well today that’s not to say they will keep performing tomorrow. Stay ahead of the competition and constantly check and improve your ads and keywords, building on those that work and pausing or removing those that don’t.

Use a mixture of keyword matchings to improve your click through rate, generate leads and acquire new customers, while improving your Adwords Quality Score at the same time.

3. Optimise Your Landing Pages For Conversion

Your Adwords campaign and your landing pages should be seen as a whole, so when you generate traffic your landing page should match your Adwords ads. Be consistent in your message, focus on the product or service you’re advertising, and keep your completion process as simple as possible.

Look For More Ways To Improve Your Adwords Campaign

These three ways to improve your Adwords campaign will positively impact your Adwords Quality Score. And a higher score means better page ranking, more leads and a lower cost per click.

But this is only scratching the surface.

Those that have experience using Google Adwords understand that it’s no easy feat to generate significant and sustainable profits. You need to constantly test, measure and refine all aspects to improve your Adwords campaign.

Do you use Google Adwords for your business?

Is it delivering the results you expect, or demand, as a business owner?

Are you interested in using social media networks for your business?

Do you know which social media networks will be most effective in your specific marketing campaigns?

If, like many business owners, you are unsure about how social media can be used to meet your business goals, then it’s worth having a quick read about the main features of each social networking platform. With the functionality available, and the massive populations of these social media sites, you’ll no doubt find it an attractive proposition to your business to be visible in such popular spaces.

Here’s a quick overview of the 5 main social media networks available.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is one of the few social media networks that is designed solely for professional networking purposes. Professionals and businesses use LinkedIn to create connections with prospects and their customers, which opens up a channel of communication – both public (groups, status updates) and private (inbox messages).

LinkedIn allows businesses to connect with individuals by joining groups where they could meet potential customers. Businesses that are centred on IT would be likely to join groups related to their business, so that they would attract the right kind of customers that share the same interests as they do.

Job vacancies are listed on LinkedIn by businesses that have a LinkedIn page. Posting a job on LinkedIn can generate a lot of interest to the vacancy through the targeted search parameters. Businesses can also pay extra money to ensure that their vacancy is on the top of the page for additional exposure.

Facebook

Facebook is the most used social media networks in the world, there are more than 1.5 billion people who have a Facebook account, and over 750 million people who are frequent users of the social network.

Users can create Facebook pages for businesses. Separate to personal profiles (which require friend requests to be accepted before communication can commence), anyone can see, visit and contribute to Facebook pages, which provides a valuable platform for boosting brand awareness and exposure.

Businesses with a large community on their Facebook page have good opportunities to generate traffic to their website, showcase good levels of customer service, and up-sell business products and services.

There are also advertising opportunities available on Facebook to promote products or services directly to your ideal audiences. Facebook Ads can be highly targeted, depending on a wide range of information that is collected in Facebook account. This means the clicks you receive can be relevant to your business and qualified to make purchases.

Twitter

Twitter is one of the most dynamic of the social media networks. Users send ‘Tweets’ – a message with 140 character limit – which can be seen by any other user on the platform.

It is estimated that over 8000 users send out a tweet every second. Anyone on Twitter can send a tweet about anything, which means businesses have to be careful about the content they share and the conversations they engage in.

If someone with a lot of Twitter followers shared an update about a positive experience with your business, then chances are it will be seen by a percentage of their audience and word of mouth can spread digitally.

YouTube

YouTube is the most popular of the social media networks based on video. Individuals use YouTube for a variety of reasons, whether for entertainment or for educational services.

The average human spends fifteen to twenty-five minutes a day on YouTube searching for videos, with the majority of users are between eighteen and twenty-four years of age.

Advertisements have been introduced on YouTube videos in different types of formats. The most used type of advert are video adverts that play whilst the video is loading. Some of the video adverts are skippable after five seconds, and some are not.

Business can also purchase display ads on the side, or overlay ads that appear on the lower portion of the video. YouTube displays relevant ads based on the user’s cookies by keeping a track of all the websites a user visits, so adverts match users browsing history and interests.
